Sivers Semiconductors Reshuffles Leadership With Semtech and Amkor Veterans for Its Photonics and Wireless Push
Sivers Semiconductors, the Swedish photonics and wireless chip company listed in Stockholm, is reshaping its leadership team. It says it’s moving from development into commercial growth.
“We are strengthening our senior leadership team to help drive that next phase,” says CEO Vickram Vathulya.
Who’s coming in
Marc Pegulu becomes managing director of Wireless on September 28. He has more than 25 years in RF, wireless and mixed-signal technology, with senior roles at Semtech and Qorvo across several markets and regions.
David Clark joins as VP of engineering for Photonics on October 31. He brings over 25 years in photonics, semiconductor packaging, engineering management and product marketing, including more than 12 years at Amkor Technology in advanced packaging and R&D. Before that he worked at Agilent, Leica Microsystems and FlipChip International.
Who’s moving
Harish Krishnaswamy, who ran Wireless until now, becomes chief strategy officer and takes on corporate strategy, M&A and new business initiatives. He co-founded MixComm, which Sivers bought in 2021.
Andrew McKee is retiring as CTO of Photonics and will help with the handover through the end of 2026. He co-founded CST Global, which Sivers acquired in 2017 and which became the base of its photonics business.
Reading the moves
The two founders who came in through acquisitions are stepping back from running units. In their place come executives with big-company scale. Clark’s packaging background is the most telling hire. Sivers makes lasers and photonics for AI data centers, where the hard problem is increasingly packaging optics next to switch and accelerator chips. Someone with a decade at Amkor knows that problem well.
The company sells into AI data centers, satellite communications, defense and telecom.
